We are searching Senior Structure Engineers willing to work in international project teams delivering solution and documentation for ships designed by Ulstein.

Job description

 *Develop arrangements/layouts for vessel according to building specification.
 *Basic strength calculations
 *Knowledge about detail design processes
 *Suggest best technical solutions based on issued drawings, building specification and suppliers technical documentation
 *Supporting structure discipline leader and deliver drawings according to project plan, QA and QC and contract specification.
 *Coordinate structure deliveries with other departments
 *Contribute to the development of technical standards and production friendly methods and solutions


 *Technical University background
 *Long relevant practice as marine structural designer
 *Experience with class drawings preparation will be an advantage
 *To speak and write fluent English is a must
 *Knowledge of AutoCAD or 3D ship structure design software
 *Knowledge of ship technical systems.
 *Knowledge of relevant ship standards, class and state requirements.

Education Level

 *College/University, bachelor’s degree
 *College/University, master’s degree

Personal qualities

 *Ability to take responsibility and work both within a team independently,
 *A general attitude to collect and share knowledge,
 *Good communication skills, analytical thinking and a proactive and solution-oriented attitude in the daily work,
 *Some travel activity may be expected,
