On satisfying the requirement of ratification by 30 States, the Maritime Labour Convention (MLC 2006) enters into force.

All ships are required to hold a Maritime Labour Convention (MLC) certificate starting 20.08.2013. Every State that ratified the above Convention is also compelled to assure compliance of all crewing companies operating on the country’s territory with MLC provisions.
 
PRS, at present, responds to client’s request providing MLC certification services for ships as well as crewing intermediaries on a voluntary basis.
