Work is progressing well on putting together the programme for the European Shipping Week (ESW) flagship conference with a number of major industry leaders already confirmed as speakers at the event.

Philippe Louis Dreyfus, President of Louis Dreyfus Armateurs and Emanuele Grimaldi, Managing Director of the Grimaldi Group were quick to confirm their involvement at the event while Dan Sten Olsen, CEO of Stena Sphere and Marku Mylly Executive Director of the European Maritime Safety Agency have also agreed to speak at this important inaugural event. Tor Egil Svensen, CEO Maritime, DNV GL and Peter De Keyser, Chief Economist at BNP Paribas Fortis, will also add a strong element to the day’s proceedings.

Success of the conference is as much about the moderators as it is about the speakers and the organisers are delighted to announce that Rose George, journalist and author of Ninety Percent of Everything, as well as Geoff Meade, author and journalist, have agreed to moderate sessions. Julian Bray, journalist and Editor-in Chief of Tradewinds, will add a strong element of control and interest to the session he has agreed to moderate.
