
Remontowa Shipbuilding has delivered the first out of seven platform supply vessel (PSV) which will support offshore operations in Brazil.
The BONGO PSV – designed by the Polish company MMC Ship & Design Consulting – has a 1,050 m2 deck with a capacity of 3,000 tn (max. 10 tn per m2). The ship is furnished with an integrated system of navigation, a DP II-class cargo control system, a FiFi-1 extinguishing system and is also able to assist in levelling oil spills.
The PSV from Remontowa Shipbuilding utilizes also the medium-voltage technology (4,16 kV) as well as can control the AC frequency of its azimuth thruster.
The vessel is designed to carry out any equipment helpful in supporting offshore installations, including hazardous substances in specially fitted tanks below the deck.
The BONGO PSV has been certified by the American Bureau of Shipping as well as holds the proper licences required by the Brazilian offshore office.
