Bulk Cargo – Port Szczecin Sp. z o.o., the largest multipurpose terminal operator in the Port of Szczecin, has officially announced its entry into the rapidly growing offshore wind energy sector.
Last week, the company completed its first handling operation of specialized equipment – a cable carousel used in offshore cable installations. This marks a key step toward providing services for offshore wind projects and subsea cable infrastructure in the Baltic Sea.
Bulk Cargo states that this operation is just the beginning of preparations for much larger activities planned for 2026. With its extensive infrastructure – including 11 quays with a total length of approximately 3.3 km, as well as warehouses and storage yards spanning hundreds of thousands of square meters – the company aims to effectively support future offshore wind energy projects.
Last year, the Rhenus Group – the majority shareholder in Bulk Cargo – acquired 98.5% of the company’s shares, paving the way for further development in Szczecin and a greater role in managing environmentally friendly supply chains.
The company expresses its gratitude to its partners and employees for their commitment and professionalism. Bulk Cargo declares that it intends to leverage its extensive logistics experience, flexible infrastructure, and skilled team to become a stable and reliable part of the offshore wind supply chain.
