Cooperation agreement with Rolls-Royce
Date of publication: 15.04.2014

Rolls-Royce Marine and ship repair yard Nauta S.A. Shiprepair Yard have signed a new co-operation agreement in Poland. This agreement marks the beginning of a long and fruitful relationship between both parties and will enable them to deliver an unparallel level of service and skill.

Rolls-Royce Marine will gain exclusive rights to providing service on all Rolls-Royce equipment coming into the shipyard. In return, the cooperation is expected to bring in an increased flow of customers into the shipyard knowing they can readily access the OEM skill sets required for the work. Customers will also benefit from a coordinated joint up approach for their vessel servicing needs.

Knut Hovland, SVP Marine Services Europe & Africa said: “We are delighted to build our relationship with Nauta as they are one of the leading ship yards in the region and a major force in the vessel repair market.  Our partnership established by this agreement will enable us to deliver truly world class support for our customers and will benefit our respective efforts towards further growth.”

Nauta is also equally excited about this cooperation. Wiesław Badura, Commercial Director of Nauta says: “Our customers will be pleased to see that we have professionalized our relationship with Rolls-Royce. Availability of skilled service engineers is important to them, and therefore it is important to us; our customer needs is what has driven this agreement.”

Rolls-Royce is intensifying its cooperation with shipyards to provide expert support as close to the customer as possible. These agreements are an important element of market penetration throughout the region and complimentary to our network of global service centres.
