Cruises, Events And Tourist Crowds: Kołobrzeg Passenger Port Reviews 2025
Date of publication: 11.03.2026

The Kołobrzeg Passenger Port Authority has published its annual review of passenger operations for 2025, highlighting a stable and high level of visitor numbers comparable with previous seasons. Preparations for the 2026 season are already underway.

According to the port authorities, a total of 266,310 passengers took to the sea aboard the port’s passenger vessels last year. Peak traffic occurred, as usual, during the summer months of July and August. Cruises were operated by vessels including Jantar, Pirat, Monika III, Viking, Santa Maria, as well as the decommissioned torpedo boat CZSZ-172. The offer was further supplemented by other passenger vessels, including ships offering recreational fishing cruises. The diversity of the fleet allowed the port to cater to families with children, organised groups, and individual tourists alike. Weather remained a significant factor influencing operations, but overall, the authorities described 2025 as a successful and stable season.

A key element of the port’s infrastructure remains the Eastern Breakwater, which combines protective functions with one of the most popular tourist attractions in the city. During ticketed periods, 33,356 visitors walked to the head of the breakwater. It should be noted that from mid-August, public access was suspended due to renovation works carried out by the Maritime Office in Szczecin. The works included repairs to steel structures, stone slopes, the slipway, breakwater walls, as well as the bosun’s quay and boat basin. The investment aims to enhance the safety and durability of the port infrastructure for years to come.

However, Kołobrzeg Passenger Port is much more than cruises. It is a year-round hub of activity, with numerous restaurants and cafés ensuring the waterfront remains lively regardless of the season. It is a meeting place for both locals and tourists, one of the city’s main attractions, and undoubtedly one of the most frequently visited spots in Kołobrzeg.

During the summer, the 60-metre observation wheel attracted significant attention and has become a symbol of the city’s holiday port. The port also hosted major cultural events: Małgorzata Ostrowska performed during Kołobrzeg Days, while Katarzyna Nosowska drew audiences at the I Sea You festival. The port also staged the Sabotażysta programme, featuring athletes, artists, and influencers, with the final episode filmed on the Eastern Breakwater to further boost nationwide recognition of the location.

Port authorities confirm that preparations for the 2026 season are underway. The coming months will see Kołobrzeg readying for new challenges, with the overarching goal of increasing passenger traffic and enhancing the city’s profile as a premier maritime destination.
