  Since several years, in Gdynia Company Ecu-Line Polska LLC has been resiliently performing on the market. Ecu line Polska LLC belongs to the Ecu Line specialized in maritime breakloads. Ecu Line Group has its 145 Offices all over the World and has the position in the top 5 linkers of the breakloads In Europe.

Ecu Line was established in 1987 and the company promoter and the president was Raymond van Achteren. First branch was opened In Poznan, and In January 2005 first executive branch was created In Gdynia. In 2007 the Office was moved to Gdynia and the Poznan branch was closed. At present the owner of the company is an India concern all cargo Global Logistics, which since 2006 has 100 % of the Shores.

The main activities of Ecu Line are breakloads-both import and export to all of the ports In the World. The company has been realizing the orders by maritime, road and air transport. The company tries to develop the widest amount of the direct connections, also in the countries which do not have a direct Access to the sea Ecu Line uses hubs In Hamburg or Koper. The main destinations of the import are Far East and India, where the various goods-starting with textiles and ending up on ectronic devices-are being imported. The main export of polish goods is being handled In Hamburg

In March this year Ecu Line opened its own office in Prague and Budapest, and on the first of April in Koper in Slovenia and In Warm. Since 12 years the company has its own office in Romania. In 2007 in the Far East, the offices were opened –Xiamen, Guangzhou and Shenzhen. There are some plans to open its own office in shanghais. So far the company has been represented by the agents, performing on the franchisee contracts. Still Ecu –Line has this kind of contracts with Baltic area companies-Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia

To compete better on the market the company has been investing in IT technology such as on-line booking chich makes the realization of the orders easier. Basing on the Inttra LAN where most of the containers orders are realized. In the world’s scale it is 10 %. The whole group works on one it system which is being controlled by the branch of Ecu-tech In Antwerp. The system is being suitably modernized In order to fulfill the needs of the company’s customers. The circulation of the documents is based on electronic system. Making orders, correspondence, documentation regarding the orders is being placed and archived in the electronic form.

Company tries to promote Polish ports as a trans-shipment point for the shipped goods from the Baltic area and the neighbor countries which do not have the Access to the sea. However it is difficult to compete in that matter with Hamburg where most of the trans-shipments are being placed. The main reason is polish law legislation, which has a Lack of the statements regarding the tax representatives. The legislation could help to proceed the customs clearance for the Other UE countries such as Slovakia, Chechen and Baltic area countries Smother.

In the nearest future Ecu Line company Polska Has a plan to employ the sales representative for the central and southern Poland. The further plans they want to open the sales office in Warsaw. The executive office will remain in Gdynia where the containers from the shipyards such as Shanghai, Hong Kong, Kaohsiung, Bussan, Bangkok, Singapore, Nava Sheva, New Delhi via Mundra, where Ecu Line has a direct, weekly breakloads service. Next year depending on the needs, the new Usa connections can be make.

Despite worlds crisis the company still reaches good financial results. Recently the interested in Ecu Line service has raised. Both, the importers and exporters have sent their enquiries regarding the offered service. It can be the sign that the stagnation on the breaklods market should be over.
