Date of publication: 14.03.2014

On 14th March 2014 Nauta Shiprepair Yard launched a partly outfitted hull of a Platform Supply Vessel built for the Norwegian client Hellesøy Verft AS. In this way the yard has successfully returned to its old shipbuilding tradition. The launching ceremony was held in Gdańsk at B1 slipway.

The contract was signed in May 2013 and steel cutting commenced in July, 2013. The success is more than significant due to fact that the construction of the vessel was performed in parallel with bringing to life the devastated shipyard infrastructure in Gdańsk.

The vessels is of VS 4411 DF design with an overall length of 89 meters and a beam of 19 meters and with maximum 5,500 dwt.  The ship is designed in collaboration with Wärtsilä Ship Design and will have a dual fuel system for the use of either LNG or Marine Diesel Oil. The vessel will be equipped with the most modern solutions for fire-fighting and emergency preparedness, a deck of approx. 970m2 and under deck capacities well suited for the intended operations.
