Foundation for Sustainable Energy (FNEZ) is a non-governmental organization, an independent think-tank, whose aim is to promote and act for the implementation of the principles of sustainable development in the energy sector. The Foundation specializes in creating and promoting high standards in the development of investment projects, especially social dialogue and environmental impact assessments.

The Foundation has experience in creating good practices based on foreign and domestic experience and agreeing them with competent administrative bodies, as evidenced by a number of developed and published guides and guidelines.

The Foundation's team consists of experts with the greatest experience in the preparation of offshore investment projects in Poland, such as: offshore wind farms (obtaining 3 location decisions, 2 environmental decisions), marine cables (obtaining more than a dozen location permits), pipelines (obtaining 9 location permits and carrying out impact assessments)

The Foundation is the organiser of the conference "Baltic Sea Energy Industry Forum" (BEIF) - the largest conference of the offshore energy industry in the region. The BEIF is a recognisable, representative and opinion-forming event. The 2-day Forum annually gathers a wide range of domestic and foreign representatives of the offshore, energy, maritime administration, government institutions and parliament, and the conclusions of the discussions are used to create conditions for the development of the offshore energy industry.
More information about the conference can be found at

In 2019 FNEZ inaugurated a new project - Good Investment Practice Forum (FDPI). The aim of the FDPI is to assist in the development and implementation of offshore wind farm projects through the transfer and adaptation of the best foreign experiences and the preparation of domestic stakeholders for their effective use.

FNEZ is one of the partners of the Co2mmunity project, conducted within the INTERREG Baltic Sea Region 2014-2020 programme. The aim of the project is to foster development of community energy (CE) projects based on renewable energy sources.
