Inter Marine became the new player on Norwegian market of marine engineering subcontractors for off-shore oil & gas industry.

The joint venture company,  with Messrs, Tristein AS as the partners, has been registered under the name of Inter Marine Tristein AS thus establishing yet another subsidiary company in the international Inter Marine Group network.

Tristein AS gained it’s name as experts in marine operations covering such fields as : installation services in renewable energy sector, surveys, project management and turn-key solutions in offshore oil &gas industry as well as in base management & logistics for all maritime related businesses.
Inter Marine Tristein AS started operations in November 2012 with intention to draw on the above mentioned competences combining them with marine engineering capabilities and prefabrication expertise of IM Group.
 
The Norwegian management of the company is confident that having the strengths of both partners integrated into the complex offer covering the marine engineering needs of both shipyard as well as offshore oil & gas industries, the new j.v. would fit perfectly to the needs of Norwegian market.
In order to comply with the stringent requirements of Norwegian customers, Inter Marine Tristein is presently undergoing the certification process including among others : ISO 9001, OHSAS 18001 etc. The conclusion of those formalities is expected to take place by the end of this year.

As from the beginning of 2013, Inter Marine Tristein AS will be fully equipped for launching it’s services on the market. The special focus will be put on: prefabrication of steel (including underwater), building of oil rigs elements, installation of pipelines, security systems, ballast water treatment systems, scrubbers. The company will continue the traditional IM Group offer covering repairs, conversions and maintenance of cargo & passenger carriers and offshore vessels of all types.
