In addition the company has got simulators on offer. The company delivered a simulator of a navigation bridge integrated with dynamic positioning advanced trainer for the Maritime University in Szczecin. This simulator is the most advanced training system in this part of Europe. All products, both integrated systems, as well as stand-alone equipment, are sold along with comprehensive service – from an early project phase, through production, installation and start-up to servicing. Integrated operation stations for maneuvering, steering and navigating vessels all from one place are the future of maritime electronics. K-Master is such a product. It provides 24/7 remote technical support to Kongsberg’s clients, as well as service on board vessels equipped with the company’s systems, on a regional basis. In order to arrange for servicing it is enough to submit an enquiry over the phone or e-mail to a dedicated address specifying the details of reported problem and a ship’s closest port of call. Shortly, an experienced service engineer is sent there, irrespectively of the fact whether the location is in Brazil, Spain, Australia, the USA or another region of the world. Furthermore, the Customer Support department offers upgrades and modifications of already installed system (the so-called: midlife upgrade).

In line with the principle of a pro-active approach, the customer is contacted after several years go by from a system installation on board a vessel, even when the devices are fully operational and a ship-owner does not call for service. It all comes down to the highest possible satisfaction of the client, who enjoys the use of the most advanced and defect-free product throughout the entire period of ship operation.
