Due to the dynamic development of Gdansk Bulk Terminal, the company built another five silos with a storage capacity of 3500tones each. Buttimer Polska is the main contractor responsable for the contruction and equippment of the containers.
"The whole investment includes the contruction of silos and its\' equippment, which includes: transportation line of hopper tanks with the loading capacity of 200 tons per hour, discharging line with the capacity of 450 tones per hour, export line, container monitoring system and the systems of aspiration that help to limit the dusting in the area. All the buildings are built in accordance with the anti-explosion regulations", says Mateusz Olejniczak, CEO of Buttimer Polska.
The works were initiated in mid-March 2014, and the first handlings started at the beginning of September.
Gdansk Bulk Terminal is qualified at handling bulk agricultural commodities, mainly grains and meals. The terminal’s quay handles vessels of up to 10.000 DWT
