Date of publication: 19.07.2012

The Polish port will receive EUR 10.7 mln from the Centre of European Union Transport Projects for the development of ro-ro operations in the port.

The EU subsidy will partly finance the EUR 28.4 mln development plan aimed at enhancing ro-ro services in Port of Gdynia.

The rolling on from 2009 investment plan foresees major construction works in the eastern part of the port, including building and reconstructing 0.8 km and 1.2 km of roads, respectively, as well as setting up 0.7 km of new railways tracks and rebuilding 2 km of rail lines.

Additionally, the port’s ro-ro ramp will be reconstructed (new upper ramp along with the modernization of lower ramp and mooring equipment).

The construction works should be signed, sealed and delivered in 2013.
