In  June 2015 Nauta Shiprepair Yard has signed next contract for building partly outfitted purse seiner trawler - Aine. Once again Danish shipyard Karstensens Skibsvart AS is Nauta’s customer.

In  June 2015 Nauta Shiprepair Yard has signed next contract for building partly outfitted purse seiner trawler - Aine. Once again Danish shipyard Karstensens Skibsvart AS is Nauta’s customer.

The new vessel will be 56,5 m long and 12,5 m wide. According to the contract, seiner Aine is scheduled for delivery in February 2017. For Nauta it is yet seventh order from this Danish client. Last month’s Nauta delivered three similar ships for Karstensenst Skibsvaert and now three another units are under construction.

Like other units of this type, seiner Aine will be equipped with tanks for transporting live fish, with main propulsion diesel engine and modern technical solutions and electronic fishing policy.

Established in 1926, Nauta Ship Repair Yard is one of the leading Polish shipyards that specializes in building vessels and hulls, repairs and classification inspections of civilian crafts as well as repairs and rebuilding of military crafts. The shipyard is also getting increasingly involved in newbuilds and production of steel offshore structures.

Over 80 years of its activity, Nauta has performed numerous extensive repairs on various types of ships. It has also designed and built nearly 500 fishing and special purpose vessels. At the end of 2012 Nauta transferred most of its production facilities to the area which previously belonged to Gdynia Shipyard. The acquisition of new land and water area has created enormous growth opportunities for Nauta Shipyard.

Karstensens Skibsvaert is a modern and efficient shipyard with long traditions in shipbuilding and repairs. The contract with Karstensens Skibsvaert is a continuation of the existing cooperation between both companies – so far the Danish shipyard has alredy ordered in Nauta six other fishing vessels.
