
After a charter with DFDS, Stena’s m/f “Dieppe Seaways” ferry has just entered Nauta Shiprepair Yard to be converted into m/f “Stena Superfast X”. This will enable her crossing between Holyhead (UK) and Dublin (IE).
The vessel with her main characteristics - LOA: 203,30 m; Width: 25,00 m; Depth , main deck: 9,10 m; Draught , max: 6,665 m - is going to undergo conversion works which, among others, include: modification and refurbishment of the interior in the public open spaces, refurbishment of the cabins to the Stena standard, conversion of the cargo access equipment in the bow and stern e.g installation of l bow- and stern ramps and modification the bow doors to its origin, installation of a watertight door on dk2 and WT bulkhead in pipe tunnel to conform with the UK stability regulations as well as renewal of the Main Propulsion Propeller Blades and application of a new livery.
After the successful dry dockings of Stena’s ferries such as m/f “Stena Forecaster”, m/f “Stena Flavia” and m/f “Stena Alegra” it is the first refurbishment contract for Stena in Nauta’s 88-year-long history.
