The new Garbage Record Books available in PRS

Polish Register of Shipping responding to the growing demand of Shipowners prepared a Garbage Record Book in the English/Polish version to meet the new requirements of the International Maritime Organization regarding garbage management on board vessels.

The Revised MARPOL Annex V (see Resolution IMO MEPC.201(62) introduces a new  template for the Garbage Record Book to be carried onboard every ship of 400 gross tonnage and above, as well as every ship, motor boat and sea-going yacht certified to carry 15 or more persons, and onboard  fixed and floating platforms starting 1 st January 2013.

In accordance with the requirements of the Revised MARPOL Annex V every ship of 100 gross tonnage and above, as well as every ship, motor boat and sea-going yacht certified to carry 15 or more persons, as well as fixed and floating platforms shall carry, starting 1st January 2013, a Garbage Management Plan compliant with the requirements of the Resolution MEPC.220(63). In the case of ships under PRS statutory survey the Plan is to be verified for compliance with the guidelines referred to above by PRS Machinery and Equipment Department.
