Baltic Industrial Group (Grupa Przemysłowa Baltic), Poland’s leading producer of onshore wind towers, is launching strategic cooperation with the German company VENSYS Energy AG, one of Europe’s key wind turbine manufacturers. The partnership includes the execution of an initial package of projects involving the production of 12 towers and 5 ESC sections for investments in several European countries.
VENSYS Energy AG is part of the global Goldwind group — one of the world’s largest wind turbine manufacturers. The company specialises in designing and manufacturing components for the wind energy sector, delivering comprehensive solutions that include technical equipment and logistics. Under its commission, GP Baltic will carry out orders for projects in the United Kingdom, France, Poland, Germany, and Portugal. The scope of production includes not only tower structures but also equipment components, ladder sets, and transport — significantly expanding the Group’s service portfolio in the wind energy segment.
Additionally, as part of the project in Portugal, GP Baltic has been commissioned to manufacture five ESC sections — the most technically demanding structural components of wind towers. These complex and highly precise elements require specialised production capabilities and extensive experience in working with large steel rolled sections. As a result, GPB is responsible for the most technologically challenging parts of the entire project.
“Cooperation with VENSYS is not just a new contract for us, but a strategic step in further developing our presence in the renewable energy sector. Our goal is for towers built in Gdańsk to operate across Europe — from the Atlantic coast to the southern regions of the continent. This is proof that Baltic Industrial Group is ready to deliver the most demanding projects in the RES industry,” said Remigiusz Paszkiewicz, CEO of Baltic Industrial Group.
A challenge for scheduling
The approved timeline foresees the start of deliveries in 2025, continuing into the first half of 2026. Production has been planned in stages, in close cooperation with VENSYS project teams, to ensure timely completion of all components.
“This is only the beginning of our collaboration with VENSYS, but also an opportunity to build long-term relations with other companies in the RES sector. Every completed project brings us closer to our goal of becoming a leading supplier of wind-energy structures in Europe,” emphasised Piotr Urbaniec, Business Development Director at GPB.
Baltic Industrial Group is the Polish leader in onshore wind tower production — with more than 5,000 tower sections delivered over the past 10 years. Thanks to its proven capacity for large-scale manufacturing and its extensive industrial infrastructure, GPB is currently executing several major contracts simultaneously, including the largest onshore wind project in Poland — Miejska Górka.
The project for VENSYS is an important step in implementing the Group’s strategy of diversifying operations and strengthening its presence in the green energy transition sector.
Total project scope includes:
12 towers, of which:
• 5 towers for a project in the United Kingdom
• 7 towers for projects in France, Poland, and Germany5 ESC sections for the project in Portugal
