On 20 October 2025, the partially outfitted hull of the modern live fish carrier Ro Vanguard set off for Norway from the Marine Projects Ltd. shipyard in Gdańsk.

The vessel was launched on 8 October 2025 in the floating dock of Marine Projects Ltd. After the shipyard works were completed, the hull was towed to Norway by the tug FARMAR ARION. Its destination is the Larsnes Mek. Verksted AS shipyard, where the vessel will be fully outfitted and delivered to the Norwegian shipowner Rostein AS.

Ro Vanguard is a state-of-the-art live fish carrier designed for transporting live fish, built to meet the high environmental and technological standards characteristic of Rostein AS — one of Norway’s leading aquaculture companies.

The vessel has an overall length of 84.2 metres and a beam of 15.5 metres.

The construction of the Ro Vanguard hull is another example of the fruitful cooperation between the Polish shipbuilding industry and Norwegian partners. Just a few months earlier, the hull of the modern MT1115 L–type fishing vessel Austral Odyssey, intended for the Australian shipowner Austral Fisheries Pty Ltd, departed from the same shipyard. That hull was transported to Norway under tow by the tug FARMAR ATHOS.

Marine Projects Ltd. is a private company founded in 1989, which has grown from a small design office into one of the most respected Polish shipbuilding firms. The company specialises in building hulls, superstructures, and complete vessels, and cooperates with customers and partners from Germany, the Netherlands, and Norway. Since 2003, its subsidiary Conrad S.A. has also been producing luxury sailing and motor yachts.
