To meet the prospects for growth within the port of Gdansk, "WUŻ" Port and Maritime Services Ltd. has purchased new tugboats that will supply the fleet as early as late July/early August this year.

To meet the prospects for growth within the port of Gdańsk, "WUŻ" Port and Maritime Services Ltd. has purchased new tugboats that will supply the fleet as early as late July/early August this year.

At the moment, the new units are being transported as cargo on a heavy lift vessel from Damen Song Cam Shipyard in Vietnam. The new tugboats are expected to ensure safety, comfort, quality and ergonomics for both employees and ship handlers entering the Port of Gdańsk. The new vessels are Fire Fighting Class 1, which will help secure the port in terms of fire assists during the entry and exit of ships, as well as assisting in the handling of gas, oil and petroleum products.

New units:

  • Tugboat Ares - ASD 2813 - pile pull of 82 T.
  • Tug Mars - ASD 2811 - pile pull of 60 T.


In late September/early October 2023. the above-mentioned vessels will be joined by another one - the tugboat "Pax" (type ASD 2811, pile pull of 60 T), which is currently under construction at Damen Shipyards Sharjah in the United Arab Emirates.
