Under one of the memoranda, ORLEN and Naftogaz will explore the potential supply of three LNG cargoes in the first quarter of 2027. For ORLEN, the potential additional volumes would be part of further developing its LNG trading activities and strengthening its role as a reliable supplier in regional markets.

Strengthening our partnership with Naftogaz helps create more opportunities to diversify supplies and improve the resilience of the region’s energy system. We see this as a lasting partnership that serves the interests of both companies,” said Ireneusz Fąfara, CEO and President of the Management Board of ORLEN.

“ORLEN is an important strategic partner for Naftogaz. Amid ongoing Russian attacks on our domestic production facilities, it is particularly important for us to have reliable sources of gas supply and diversified delivery routes,” said Sergii Fedorenko, Acting Chief Executive Officer of Naftogaz of Ukraine.

The second memorandum concerns potential cooperation between ORLEN and Ukrnafta, part of Naftogaz Group, in the area of petroleum product supplies to the Ukrainian market. The cooperation is part of ORLEN’s efforts to develop its commercial offering and strengthen the Group’s position in regional markets.

The parties will also explore the possibility of supplying Ukrainian crude oil for processing at refineries in Central Europe. In addition, the cooperation may include the potential transfer of used fuel tanker trucks to Ukrnafta to support the transportation of petroleum products.

ORLEN and Naftogaz have been steadily developing their cooperation, including supplies of natural gas sourced from US LNG and broader commercial collaboration in Central and Eastern Europe. Since 2025, the companies have been expanding their partnership in LNG, drawing on ORLEN’s trading capabilities, access to regasification infrastructure and experience in arranging deliveries to Ukraine.
