Świnoujście Offshore Terminal Has Received Its First Jack-Up Vessel
Date of publication: 06.05.2026

For the first time in its history, the Świnoujście Offshore Terminal has received a jack-up vessel, supporting a European offshore wind farm project located in German waters of the Baltic Sea. The availability and functionality of the terminal’s infrastructure enabled an efficient exchange of turbine components.

— This is an excellent example of effective cooperation in support of Europe’s energy security and a clear confirmation that Polish ports play a significant role in the energy transition and in servicing key offshore wind projects in the Baltic Sea region — ORLEN Neptun informs.

The ORLEN Group has opened Poland’s first offshore wind installation terminal in Świnoujście. It is the first facility of its kind on the Polish coast.

Due to its location, the installation terminal at the port of Świnoujście will serve not only Polish offshore wind projects, but also developments across the wider Baltic Sea region:

• It features infrastructure capable of handling large vessels transporting key offshore wind farm components, including turbines, towers, and foundations,

• The port will also serve as a base for specialised vessels engaged in advanced construction works related to offshore wind farms.
