The GospodarkaMorska.pl Cruise Integrated the Maritime Industry for the Fifth Time
Date of publication: 03.11.2025

The GospodarkaMorska.pl Cruise is a conference that has permanently entered the calendar of key events for the maritime industry in Poland. This exclusive, closed conference takes place on board the Nova Star ferry, owned by Polferries. During the jubilee 5th edition, the event once again featured substantive debates and valuable networking opportunities.

This is already the fifth edition of the GospodarkaMorska.pl Cruise conference — an event highly valued by the maritime community. It has a unique character and an exceptional atmosphere. For the fifth time, we hosted outstanding participants, excellent speakers, and panelists,” says Mateusz Kowalewski, publisher of GospodarkaMorska.pl and organizer of the event. “These 42 hours of conference time, including 36 hours on the open sea, make all participants feel a strong attachment to this formula. The conference has already become a permanent fixture in the maritime industry calendar. I am convinced that we will continue this concept — a conference at sea — for years to come,” he adds.

The cruise, held on 20–22 October, attracted the most important players in the maritime sector. Over 160 participants who have the greatest influence on the maritime economy in Poland discussed the most pressing issues related to the security of maritime critical infrastructure, as well as considered how to seize upcoming opportunities linked to the energy transition in the Baltic Sea.

Along the way, participants attended presentations and five discussion panels focused on innovation in the maritime, energy, and offshore wind industries. The agenda also included the presentation of the Maritime Economy Lighthouse 2025 awards in the “Leader of Maritime Technologies” category, granted by readers of GospodarkaMorska.pl. This year, the statuettes were awarded to HG Solutions Sp. z o.o. for innovative technological solutions for the shipbuilding industry, and Marine Projects for constructing innovative live fish carriers for the aquaculture sector.

Guests emphasized the importance of the conference as a platform for integrating the maritime community — a place conducive to building relationships, exchanging experiences, and improving mutual understanding in a relaxed maritime atmosphere.

— “I greatly appreciate the idea of a conference at sea, because it takes place in the natural environment of the entire maritime economy. It brings together top-level management: shipowners, company representatives, business leaders, shipyards, and public administration. For the first time, we are participating as the Navy, as a governmental institution. It is an excellent opportunity to understand one another’s expectations, discuss possibilities for achieving them, and simply to meet each other,” stresses Vice Admiral Krzysztof Jaworski, Commander of the Maritime Operations Centre – Maritime Component Commander.

The ambassadors of this year's edition included: the Port of Gdańsk Authority, the Port of Gdynia Authority, the Polish Register of Shipping, PGZ Naval Shipyard, TUiR Warta, Baltic Towers, SZKUNER Władysławowo, CRIST S.A., Global Maritime, JPP Marine, Lintec Marine, SALTUS Insurance, and DNV Poland.

The conference was held under the Honorary Patronage of the Ministry of Infrastructure, the Maritime Economy Employers’ Forum, and Polish Baltic Shipping Company.
