Date of publication: 31.01.2023

The Port of Kołobrzeg recorded significant increases in port functions in Kołobrzeg, almost returning to the results from 2019, i.e. before the covid-19 pandemic. Despite the Russian invasion of Ukraine, the unstable economic situation and the energy crisis, the intended goals were achieved.

Last year, 170,000 tons of goods were transshipped at the Commercial Port and this result is in line with the development trend of the Port of Kołobrzeg. The share of new cargo in the annual volume was 46%, of which 42% was corn grain (nearly 71,000 tons of this grain were handled). The transhipment structure in 2022 also included such cargoes as wood (30%), pellets (14%), agro-type cargoes (6.2%), aggregates (5.7%) and other (2.1%). Thanks to the Company's efforts related to the activation of the use of railway infrastructure, it was possible to handle cargo imported from Ukraine by trains. From the area covered by military operations, the port of Kołobrzeg handled, among others, corn, beet pulp, sunflower meal and ferrosilicon. It was possible thanks to the use of a railway siding.

The port of Kołobrzeg is not only about reloading. As a tourist destination, Kołobrzeg actively uses the activities of the so-called of the white fleet. Here, an increase in the number of passengers on roadstead vessels was recorded compared to 2022 and the result was almost 290,000 passengers. Passengers have at their disposal vessels making roadstead cruises, i.e. Jantar, Pirat, Monika III, Viking, Santa Maria, Torpedo Boat CZSZ-172, fishing vessels and the Port Water Tram. In 2022, the Yacht Port was visited by 942 yachts, of which 147 were moored for at least 6 months.

On the other hand, over 24,000 tons of fish were unloaded in the Fishing Port, thanks to which the Kołobrzeg Port was ranked second in Poland in terms of the amount of fish transhipped. In 2022, the most fish of the species cod, tobias, flounder, herring and sprat were landed, while eel, mackerel, salmon and sea trout were transhipped in smaller quantities.
