Port of Gdynia: NDI to Build Intermodal Terminal
Date of publication: 07.04.2025

The Port of Gdynia Authority has signed a contract with the NDI company for the construction of an intermodal terminal within the Logistics Centre area.

The agreement between the two companies was signed on March 17. Under its terms, the Sopot-based NDI will build an intermodal terminal in the Port of Gdynia’s Logistics Centre and obtain an occupancy permit for the facility. The project is being carried out with funding from the EU’s Connecting Europe Facility (CEF).

According to the contract, NDI will receive approximately PLN 65 million gross for the work. The project is scheduled for completion in August 2026. The contractor is already present on-site—handover of the construction area, along with a site inspection, took place on March 28.

The intermodal terminal at the Port of Gdynia is one of the key elements in adapting the port’s infrastructure for dual civilian and military use. NATO military transports are currently handled in the immediate vicinity of the planned terminal—the launch of the new facility will accelerate cargo handling and increase the share of intermodal transport in the port.
