On 7 November 2025, CRIST Shipyard completed the execution of the BR01 Bridge project – a contract with the French company Eiffage Métal.
The project forms part of the expansion of the European E18 route, which runs from Craigavon in Northern Ireland, through Scotland, England, Norway, and Sweden, all the way to Finland.
The scope of work included the widening of a 17‑kilometre section between Rugtvedt and Langangen, near the town of Porsgrunn in Norway.
The central element of the investment is the Grenland Bridge – an impressive cable-stayed steel structure with a main span of approximately 330 metres and a total length of around 600 metres, connecting both sides of the fjord under exceptionally challenging geotechnical and environmental conditions.
The project is being delivered for the state-owned company Nye Veier and ranks among the most complex infrastructure undertakings in the Scandinavian region.
