Director of the Maritime Office in Szczecin is a new deputy chairman of EMSA Board

During the 62nd meeting of the Administrative Council of the European Maritime Safety Agency, Wojciech Zdanowicz, director of the Maritime Office in Szczecin, was appointed deputy chairman.

The meeting was held on November 17 and 18. Wojciech Zdanowicz, the director of the Maritime Office in Szczecin, representing Poland in the session, was unanimously elected the deputy chairman of the Council.

EMSA's Administrative Board oversees the activities of the entire European Maritime Safety Agency and its management. It also approves the institution's program of operation, considers and evaluates reports on activities and budget implementation.

Wojciech Zdanowicz is the director of the Maritime Office in Szczecin since July 1, 2017. He is a graduate of the Maritime University of Szczecin. He started his career in the maritime administration in 2007, and in the meantime he worked for two years at EMSA.

Before his appointment to the position of the director of the Maritime Office in Szczecin, he also held, inter alia, the function of deputy director of the maritime economy department at the Ministry of Maritime Economy and Inland Navigation.
