The Galileusz, owned by EuroAfrica and operated by Unity Line, is currently at Morska Stocznia Remontowa “Gryfia”, where it is undergoing scheduled shipyard work. As part of the work, the vessel will also be branded with the POLSCA Baltic Ferries logo. It will become the fourth ferry operating under the joint POLSCA brand.

At the same time, painting work on the Bursztyn has been completed, and the ferry has already been undocked at Gdańska Stocznia “Remontowa”. This means that five vessels in the fleet will soon be displaying the new POLSCA Baltic Ferries livery. The next ferry to undergo rebranding and receive the new livery will be the Polonia, whose shipyard stay is scheduled for February.

“We are consistently implementing the process of unifying the appearance of our fleet under the POLSCA Baltic Ferries brand. All painting work on the ferries is carried out during scheduled shipyard stays, mandatory inspections and other technical work. This allows us to avoid additional costs and prevents ferries from being taken out of service solely for the purpose of changing their livery,” explains Paweł Pluto-Prądzyński, President of the Management Board of POLSCA S.A.

A ferry’s stay at a shipyard is a period of comprehensive maintenance work. This includes mandatory technical inspections, checks of the hull, propulsion equipment and safety systems, as well as repair and maintenance work and any necessary repairs. Scheduled shipyard stays are a regular part of vessel operations and help maintain their operational condition, safety and reliability on ferry routes.

The fleet rebranding is one of the elements of building the joint POLSCA Baltic Ferries brand, bringing together Polish ferry operators serving routes between Poland and southern Sweden. The livery change is being carried out in stages, during the scheduled shipyard stays of individual vessels.

At present, 11 vessels operate under the POLSCA Baltic Ferries brand, including the newest ferry, Jantar Unity. This autumn, a twelfth vessel, Bursztyn Unity, will join the fleet — a sister ship to Jantar. Once it enters service, POLSCA Baltic Ferries will operate a fleet of 12 ferries serving routes between Poland and Sweden.
