Krzysztof Kaczmarek has announced via social media that after two years he is stepping down, from his role as Vice-President for Infrastructure at the Zarząd Morskiego Portu Gdańsk (Port of Gdańsk Authority).

The outgoing executive confirmed his departure in a post published on LinkedIn, in which he thanked stakeholders, business partners and contractors for their co-operation. He described the past two years as a period of intensive yet professionally rewarding work.

“Concluding this stage of my professional journey, I leave with a sense of a job well done and with a firm conviction that the Port of Gdańsk will continue to consistently strengthen its position as a modern, secure and strategic seaport,” Mr Kaczmarek wrote.

Following the dismissal of the previous President of the Port of Gdańsk, Łukasz Malinowski, in February 2026, Mr Kaczmarek temporarily assumed the duties of President of the company on behalf of the Supervisory Board, of which he was a member. One month later, after the appointment of Dorota Pyć as President, he took up the position of Vice-President for Infrastructure.
