In April, Port of Kolobrzeg served, for the first time in a very long time, freight trains, which delivered corn grain from Ukraine.

The total amount of imported cargo was 5 thousand tons. Then on 20th of April the corn stored in the port was transported by the sea to the port of Rotterdam on ship Marietje Hester.

– The whole procedure of transporting corn through the Port of Kolobrzeg is a pilot project for the time being. However, we hope that this type of cargo will stay in our port for longer – says Artur Lijewski, the President of Kolobrzeg Seaport Authority.

Port of Kołobrzeg is located on the Baltic Sea at the mouth of the Parsęta River. It is a transhipment, trade, fishing and passenger port as well as a yacht marina.
