POLSCA Baltic Ferries Moves Gdańsk–Nynäshamn Services to Stockholm Norvik on 9 November
Date of publication: 05.11.2026

From 9 November 2026, ferries operated by POLSCA Baltic Ferries on the Gdańsk–Nynäshamn route will use the Norvik Ferry Terminal at the Port of Stockholm Norvik. The change affects the Swedish departure and arrival point, but the route name and sailing schedule will remain unchanged.

The carrier says the move will not affect tickets already purchased. Passengers with bookings for sailings in the coming months do not need to take any further action. The new terminal address is Norvik Ferry Terminal, Norvikvägen 26, 149 45 Nynäshamn, Sweden.

“We ask passengers to pay particular attention to the change of location. The Norvik terminal can be reached directly by car, while passengers travelling without a vehicle can use a free bus transfer from the centre of Nynäshamn,” said Przemysław Franczuk, Deputy Executive Director for Marketing at POLSCA S.A.’s Kołobrzeg office.

The transfer service, operated by KERSTINS TAXI, will run between the terminal, the ferry and central Nynäshamn, including the railway station. When the ferry from Gdańsk arrives at 12:00, the bus will wait alongside the vessel before stopping at the terminal and continuing to the railway station. On departure days, the bus will leave Nynäshamn central station for the ferry at 16:45.

The move was first reported in October and Swedish media informed that preparations had begun in the spring, while the relocation, originally scheduled for September, was postponed until November. Polferries subsequently confirmed the plans, as reported by Gospodarka Morska.

The change is primarily linked to planned modifications to the port infrastructure in Sweden. At Nynäshamn, these involve the modernisation and reorganisation of the port, including changes to land access. The works are expected to open up areas that the municipality plans to develop.

The ro-ro quay is also due to be rebuilt to accommodate a new, larger catamaran that local operator Destination Gotland plans to introduce. The company operates services between the island of Gotland and mainland Sweden. The port authority also envisages the possibility of introducing hydrogen bunkering and shore-side electricity supplies for vessels in the future.
