RWE has signed an agreement with PGE for the sale of the offshore wind farm development project F.E.W. Baltic II in the Polish part of the Baltic Sea. The wind farm, with a planned capacity of 350 MW, will be located approximately 50 kilometers offshore, north of Ustka.
The transaction is expected to close in the first quarter of 2026. The parties have already completed the transfer of the Environmental Decision and related data concerning the adjacent area – 44.E.1 – to PGE.
RWE remains fully committed to supporting Poland’s energy transition through the development, construction, and operation of a diversified portfolio of renewable energy projects in the country. The company currently operates onshore wind farms and photovoltaic installations with a total capacity of over 660 MW across Poland.
“We are convinced that, thanks to synergies with the rest of its portfolio, PGE is better positioned to realize this project than RWE acting alone. However, our goal of further developing our offshore wind project portfolio remains unchanged. We are currently constructing four large-scale offshore wind farms in four European countries and have several additional offshore projects in the development phase,” said Sven Utermöhlen, Chief Executive Officer of RWE Offshore Wind.
