Baltic Towers And Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy Launch Partnership with Baltica 2 Tower Supply Deal
Date of publication: 25.03.2026

Baltic Towers has signed a new partnership agreement with Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy to supply the largest batch of towers for Poland’s Baltica 2 offshore wind farm. The facility represents a strategic industrial investment valued at €200 million, strengthening both the European energy transition and Poland’s position as a growing manufacturing hub for the offshore wind sector.

Baltica 2, Poland’s largest offshore wind project, is being jointly developed by the PGE Group and Ørsted. Once operational, the farm is expected to deliver green electricity to approximately 2.5 million consumers, including households, hospitals, schools, public institutions, and businesses. As one of the largest renewable energy investments in the Baltic Sea, Baltica 2 will play a key role in accelerating Poland’s energy transition, with the first electricity expected to be delivered in 2027.

Baltic Towers, based in Gdańsk, specialises in manufacturing towers for offshore wind turbines, designed to withstand the most demanding marine conditions.

“We are fully prepared to supply towers for the largest offshore turbines currently available and are ready to scale our production capacity as next-generation turbines enter the market. We are proud that Baltic Towers will be a supplier for a project in the Polish Baltic Sea. Our location offers a major logistical advantage, both for domestic and regional markets, allowing us to mitigate project and supply-chain risks effectively. By building our production base in Gdańsk, we are developing long-term expertise to position Baltic Towers as a key European supplier of offshore wind towers. Our work aligns closely with the strategic goals of Agencja Rozwoju Przemysłu S.A., which aims to strengthen the national supply chain for offshore wind and build domestic industrial capabilities. Our partnership with Siemens Gamesa is of critical importance. We are grateful for their trust and collaboration in advancing offshore wind in Poland and Europe,” said Jakub Wnuczyński, CEO of Baltic Towers.

“By securing tower production capacity in Poland, Siemens Gamesa reinforces its commitment to working with local and regional partners on key offshore wind investments. Our new partnership with Baltic Towers underlines our commitment to further develop offshore wind projects in Europe. It is another step toward building an energy system that is stable, secure and ready for future challenges,” said Grzegorz Należyty, Managing Director of Siemens Energy and Siemens Gamesa Poland.

“Ørsted is overseeing the construction of the offshore section of Baltica 2, ensuring close coordination of all technical elements — from foundations and towers to turbines and installation. As a key structural component, each tower must meet the highest quality and safety standards, with full inspection at every production stage to guarantee reliable operation at sea. We are pleased that such a critical component is being supplied by a Polish company, demonstrating the high readiness of the domestic offshore wind market. Turbine installation for Baltica 2 is planned for Q2 2027,” said Ulrik Lange, Vice President and Managing Director of the Baltica 2 project at Ørsted.

“We welcome the inclusion of another Polish company in the Baltica 2 project. It is particularly important that key components installed in the Polish Baltic Sea will be produced domestically. Offshore wind projects demand the highest standards of quality and precision. Baltic Towers’ participation in supplying towers — the fundamental structural elements of offshore turbines — confirms that the Gdańsk facility meets rigorous international standards and competes successfully with the world’s leading suppliers. This partnership is also a tangible result of our efforts to raise awareness among global partners of the importance of integrating domestic industry in projects shaping Poland’s energy future,” said Dariusz Lubera, CEO of PGE Polish Energy Group.

Baltic Towers was established as a joint initiative of Agencja Rozwoju Przemysłu S.A. (ARP) and GRI Renewable Industries, S.L. The project combines ARP’s investment capacity and access to strategically located industrial land with GRI’s global manufacturing experience in the renewable energy sector. The facility is set to create 500 specialised jobs and strengthen the local supply chain, sourcing 60% of production materials domestically.

The Gdańsk plant is capable of producing tower sections up to 50 metres long, weighing 500 tonnes, with a diameter of up to 11 metres. The first towers were completed in September last year, and the facility is expected to deliver up to 150 towers annually for turbines rated at 15 MW and above.
