Date of publication: 13.01.2023

The Crist shipyard in Gdynia has completed work on two more blocks and one complete section of a passenger ship, which have already sailed to France. Next elements will leave the shipyard in a few days.

The two blocks and one section of the ship, which left Crist shipyard on January 12, were built on behalf of the French shipyard Chantiers de l'Atlantique of Saint-Nazaire under the A35/2nd project. The Polish shipyard carried out building the blocks and full outfitting of piping, ventilation and electrical equipment and installations, as well as painting work. They complement the megablock of A35 units that sailed to France from Crista later in the summer of 2022. The largest of the built A35/2nd blocks is 11 meters high, 28 meters wide and long, and weighs about 900 tons.

The A35/2nd blocks, which left Crist's shipyard in January, sailed to France on two vessels. The Polish shipyard was also responsible for loading and stowing the units. The next elements of the cruise ship under construction are expected to be loaded onto a ship and set sail from Poland on January 19.

All the elements produced by Crist will now be joined together in Saint-Nazaire. The entire project is being done for Royal Caribbean Cruises, one of the largest cruise ship operators in the world.

Chantiers de l'Atlantique is one of the largest shipyards in the world and a long-time customer of Crist shipyard.
